My grandparents' generation who fought in the 2nd World War were, compared to people today, super human. They had almost no allergies, most were thin, most had little to no health issues. Fast forward to today and I am allergic to most things, there are injuries from the most basic of things including boosting shots, memorization of names and numbers or skills of mathematics are lost today, and knowledge deeply tied to culture and tradition are removed. We are weaker, dumber, and poorer in almost every way and that's only within 90 years. Now were seeing a decrease of common sense, responsibility, respect, patience, and creativity. Please pray for us, for man of all tomorrows is falling short of man of all yesteryears.

Anyone who thinks ancient people weren't smarter than people today, here's a challenge. Grow some flax, rhet it, crimp it, comb it, spin it, find some plants to dye it, then weave it into fabric. I've done wool and cotton, but flax is too ticklish, and natural dying is heavy chemistry. I haven't succeeded with flax, and I probably won't ever have the facilities to do it. Linen was used for ancient sail cloth, clothing, tapestries, burial shrouds. That's just one skill set. Imagine having to make and build and grow everything you needed. Then there's processing meat animals and vegetables. No one can do it alone. It takes whole tribes of extended family, or whole cities. The skills have to be passed on from one generation to the next, and knowledge is lost in a generation if it isn't carefully conserved. Ancient people must have been extremely clever and energetic.

Not only were they very smart but exceptionally patient and hardworking. Some of their buildings/structures took decades to complete and the intricacies of them still astonish us today.

I imagine the ancient people from the Bible being much more intelligent than we are now. People are not even challenged to solve simple problems anymore as a device does all the thinking for them. But then, they had time...Silence, and they had the most important thing to enhance there thinking. A God centered understanding. Oh no my friends, they were VERY intelligent.

People today think they are intelligent because they can look up something that someone already answered. It’s a world full of “Here’s the answer” I think we’ve gotten dumber.

One only has to look at the past to know that we are not more intelligent than the people of the ancient past.

Speaking of Disney, to this day I still hear people say that Lemmings “are so dumb, they jump off of cliffs”. Why? Because Disney made a film saying they did, and had video of lemmings falling to their deaths. What they don’t tell you? Lemmings do not jump off of cliffs, and the sequence was filmed by having a guy just out of view shoving the rodents to their deaths with a snow shovel. Yet, again, still people claim this beyond cruel fiction to be “real science”… in the same way the secular world claims “Evolution is true” even after countless Christians bring out the proverbial “the behind the scenes” footage showing the guy with the shovel doing the pushing over the cameraman under the cliff edge. The lies of the world are so engrained, that people will argue to the death that Lemmings jump off of cliffs still because of that Disney movie, even long after the company’s own men and documents came out detailing the truth, choosing to pull a King Saul and fall on their own sword rather than deal with the situation they’re in. In the same way, the secular world rejects the Truth of Christ and instead focuses on a fictional story crafted by the devil, and by choice run themselves off the cliff of eternal separation, scoffing at the Truth no matter what… proving that in the end, Lemmings are, ironically, actually smarter… plus, after all, when people tried to bring silence, Jesus said “if you make them quiet, the very rocks and stones will cry out” (that Jesus is LORD), so even the saying “dumber than a rock” has merit to it.

Imagine how technologically advanced the world might be had the libraries of ancient world had not burned, had treasuries not been looted, had entire cultures not been destroyed by war, earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, plagues and famine

5:50 being an aviation engineer, I can 100% vouch for this. Seeing the schematics for planes built 70yrs ago, the guys back then who worked out on the factory floor likely knew more about engineering than most of the guys (including myself) who work behind desks now.

It’s like people today say there’s no way these people back then could have moved, built, or shaped these things to the degree they are built without lasers, the technology we have today is built off the technology our ancestors developed Take mathematical something very important to building everything we use today, it was invented 3000BC just a mere millennia or two and still being taught in schools today. Just because it looks to hard to do nowadays doesn’t mean it was impossible for our ancestors to build.
