Introducing the Arduino Portenta H7

Показать описание
Designed for demanding industrial applications, AI edge processing, and robotics, the Arduino Portenta family is a new standard for open high-density interconnect to support advanced peripherals.

The first member of the family is the Portenta H7 module – a dual-core Arm Cortex-M7 and Cortex-M4 operating at 480MHz and 240MHz, respectively, with an operational temperature range of -40 to 85°C. The Portenta H7 is capable of running Arduino code, Python, and JavaScript, making it accessible to an even broader audience of developers.

The Portenta can easily run processes created with TensorFlow Lite as well. Meaning, you could have one of the cores computing a computer vision algorithm on the fly, while the other could be performing low-level tasks like controlling a motor, or acting as a user interface.

Use the Portenta Carrier board to transform your H7 into an eNUC computer and expose all of the H7 physical interfaces.

You can buy the STM32H747I-DISCO for that price and it includes a display.

Maybe this will finally be able to handle the extreme overhead of the arduino IO read/write functions

Oh What a beauty!
Like the colour theme on this promo too! Very solid and clear also informative!

I'm proud to say that I'll be working on porting Arduino Libraries to Micropython for this board for my Google Summer of Code project :)

I'm going to build my start-up plans on this new Arduino generation.
Can't wait...

$80 of that $100 is to pay for all the libraries they wrote so you scrubs can blink an led with 2 lines of code.

Sticking with my STM32F407VET6... < A$20, decent SRAM, Flash, 2x12 bit DAC that is excellent and fast for sound. Also has SDIO built in. Also has RTC, multiple SPI, I2C, CAN and serial ports. With DMA SPI can get close to full speed SPI and be doing other things while SPI is busy.

so expandable in sense like ports or pin connectors
(thank you for making these chips i m using a nano and uno for competitions currently )

Thanks to Arduino, I can make anything I want easily, conveniently, efficiently.

I suppose the potential of this module to be programmed with high level languages has to do with Machine learning. Otherwise I can't find a reason to use high level language to an industrial embedded system, actually I can find many reasons NOT to. Overall it seems a great module, actually it's a milestone for Arduino. Keep it up!

I was already waiting for some slim black board especially with Type C

I can run Crysis ?

I'm just kidding but it will probably be the most expensive microcontroller on the market

So this is like an ESP32 with extra steps.

Looks good to me - I'm enjoying reading some of the snobby comments about python. Who cares what languages you can use - use what you want, that's the way this all should be.
