More "Hard Mode" genocide theme! This time, it's for the king himself, Asgore. I intended to make it sound more Hopes and Dreams-y and the constant inclusion of BAaTH/Ruins/Waterfall/An Ending/Don't Give Up/BtERtD is to represent that he is fighting for his people, determined to end the genocidal madness. Also, this is just the beginning of his fight theme, more to come! It will parallel the ASRIEL DREEMURR boss battle, in a way.

I imagine Asgore not even hiding his face, because originally when you battle him, he starts looking down in guilt and sadness. But now I imagine him just staring at you with blue and orange flashes in his eyes.

I'm still sad that Asgore didn't get a fight in genocide so thanks for this.

I can imagine that this Asgore is looking directly at the player rather than looking down like normally. It would show how he has both the resolve and the fury to face his actions head-on this time

This... this is just amazing. I'm not sure how to express that, amazing doesn't feel like it covers it.
This is easily one of, if not your best bit of work.

Listening to this, I instantly visualize the scene that might be worthy of this music, I see Asgore looking the human who slaughtered his people in the eye as he absorbs the souls, and putting up a fight that makes Sans and Undyne the Undying look as weak as Froggits.

The SOULs surround you and try to attack you, hammering in that the one they (Chara) call "YOU" are the Flowey. To Asgore, it's clear this is not just about Monsters, but Humans as well.

at the cost of overwhelming depression and guilt.
and yet people downplay him so much..

I like how this makes the Battle Against a True Hero/Power of NEO a leitmotif. It's the theme of Defiance of monster kind in the face of humanity. It would be the song that played during the war between humans and monsters. It's the battle cry of monster kind.
