"Magic Man" is a song by the American rock band Heart, which was released in 1975 as a single from their debut album, "Dreamboat Annie." The song was written by Ann and Nancy Wilson, the core members of the band. It became one of Heart's signature songs and is notable for its hard rock sound, combined with folk and progressive rock influences.

Musically, "Magic Man" features a distinctive combination of hard rock guitar riffs, synthesizer parts, and Ann Wilson's powerful vocals, which showcase her wide vocal range and emotional delivery. The song's guitar solo and the use of the Minimoog synthesizer were particularly innovative for the time, contributing to the song's lasting appeal.

"Magic Man" quickly became a hit, reaching the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States. It helped to establish Heart as one of the leading rock bands of the 1970s and paved the way for the success of their subsequent albums. The song's success was also significant for being achieved in a male-dominated rock music industry, highlighting the Wilson sisters' talents as musicians and songwriters.

Over the years, "Magic Man" has remained a staple in Heart's live performances and has been covered by various artists. It continues to be celebrated for its compelling storytelling, memorable melody, and the groundbreaking role it played in Heart's career and in the broader landscape of rock music.

One of the most haunting guitar solo/riffs ever. I wore out that spot on my cassette tape constantly pressing pause to hit those notes.

I was really high when I first listened to it on my friends kick ass stereo with headphones on right as their first album was released. It was revolutionary to see such gorgeous woman belt to some of the hardest rock sounds ever heard. Needless to say, I fell head over heels in love with them. I was 20 at the time, and now at 65 I'm still in love.
