More like "the alledged price should be 2x lower than the 3090 price was for year and half after its launch", the price is fine as long as you will be able to find a gpu at msrp and the performance gain from 3090 -> 4090 compared to pascal -> ampere should be way bigger, so increase in price is tolerable imo.

Can't also help but think for those who need to use multi-gpu set ups that something like this will be a huge pain to possibly keep your system stable. Multi PSU will surely be the only viable option and even then you're going to surely have to be looking at 1400/1600w x2 PSUs.

1300 watt psu - $350, 16 Gb ddr5 -$330 Z690 > $500 plus you need a refrigerator to keep it cool. Hmmmm. My 9th gen i7 with 1660Ti is going to hang around for a while.

It'd be hilarious if nvidia is less efficient than AMD despite using a newer node. Because thats what it sounds like with 600w cards like the rtx 4090. If it was 800w, it would genuinely be a room heater. You will basically turn on the heater, which would overload your AC. Infact in summer, I'm not even sure if it would even be cooled via air cooling. AMD seems to be more reasonable in TDP's.

If nvidia uses that much power, you can bet they're gonna be screwed in the laptop space. And if nvidia has to push this far, AMD ain't joking around. You've already seen RDNA 2 challenge nvidia in raterization. RDNA 3 will more or less have 'em catch up to nvidia in ray tracing, albeit not beat them.

I think kopite kimi might be disappointed with the vram capacities with RDNA 3, as AMD is likely to give less than nvidia. And maybe he's not too happy with the Ray tracing performance. Or maybe he's unhappy with RDNA 3's software suite. Whatever the case, performance from AMD will not be "disappointing". And neither will efficiency.

Kopite7Kimi has said there could be an 850W RTX Titan or 4090 Ti and it could be 2.25x faster than the 3090 Ti in rasterization and 3x faster in ray tracing. That kind of performance should be expected for a GPU that consumes 850W watts alone.

Its garbage. They barely hit low RDNA2 Clock speeds and they are destroying efficiency. the video is also lying about there being a "gpu shortage" GPUs are everywhere and rotting on shelves and in warehouses because demand has tanked and prices are beginning to crash. This video is a pack of lies from top to bottom. No one cares about these cards everyone i know just wants to buy a used 3080 from a crypto miner for 400-500$ and skip this generation completely.
