Kanban vs Scrum. What are the differences between both of these agile project management frameworks? Which one should you use?
In this video, we will be sharing with you an introduction to both Kanban and Scrum frameworks, the key differences between the 2 and how we utilize both of these frameworks in our projects.
Here are a few key differences between Kanban and Scrum.
1. Time Boxed Event
Scrum uses time-boxed events while Kanban doesn’t.
2. Roles and Responsibilities
Scrum has various roles, e.g. Scrum Master, while Kanban doesn’t.
3. Pull Systems
Scrum implements Sprints where the team pulls work from Product Backlog into Sprint Backlog while in Kanban there isn’t a specific time to complete work.
4. Flexibility
Scrum is less flexible compared to Kanban, where you are only able to make changes after the sprint is completed.
5. Training and Experience
Being a Scrum master requires lots of experience and it isn't easy to master. However, Kanban doesn’t require much training and experience as compared to Scrum.
