Stew Smith discusses Mental Toughness strategies and ways to work, train, and think yourself out of quitting situations. See some of the tips below:

#1 - Talk TO Yourself, Don't Listen To Yourself
• Your quitter voice chimes in whenever things get tough
• DON’T Listen to it
Talk ’em down… and keep moving forward
• Adopt the 100 more yards ”just over the hill”
• Once you do this enough, the voice is not as often

• Build up to it — patience - persistence - progression
• Seek out the challenges
• Compete! compete with others or yourself
• Keep score!

#3 - "Find The Fuel When The Tank Is Empty"
• When you think you have nothing left, this is when you’re really getting started
• Find a way to get it done
• Pull from past success ”cookie jar”

So, here are the big mental toughness takeaways:
1. Don’t listen to the quitter voice
2. Take inventory of past success
3. Actively seek out uncomfortable situations and push yourself
4. Keep going 10% longer when you think you have nothing left

Mental toughness is a learning experience that takes a right turn. No matter how much you PT. You half to keep on pushing. The other side of your mind is saying let's stop and finish later. You half to have discpline, motivation, and be a good individual.
