Viper 7701 Remote Startup Cycle Problem

My Viper 7701 remote is acting up after replacing a dead battery. The startup cycle just continuously repeat. Any idea what is wrong with it? How can it be fixed?

Put it in your freezer for a bit. I don't know why, but it works. I noticed mine would have that issue when I was running the heater at night the next morning it would act like that. I realized temperature affects the remote. I tried freezing it, and it did the trick.

This might be a soldering issue. I will soon put this in a air fryer with only the electronic board and no plastic. I say about 5 mins or 10 mins not sure yet.

bend the metal part that connects the battery in as it is loose. It worked for mine.

disconnect your negative battery terminal. then reconnect. you're good to go. worked for me. now i gotta find out how to program a new fob as mine got water damage

Mine turns on fine as I put new batteries in it but it won't unlock or lock my car it keeps showing the "out of range" symbol even though I'm right next to the car. Any ideas?

Dam I have been pulling my hair out for a week! I have tried everything disconnected the negative battery terminal as quoted! I can’t get this to work at all. I called viper support I was on hold for over an hour! I finally hung up ! These things are a pain in ass ! I don’t know why anyone would do this to a car!

I have question also the middle of sensor hammer looking thing what does it mean my viper kept beeping i didn't know what was it until i found it and grab it went orange i don't know why i went outside there were no people out there

Hey, I'm having the same problem with my remote. I noticed your using the "Duracell Quantum" batteries inside of it, same type I'm using. If you dont mind me asking, how long have you been using those batteries in that remote? I noticed that once I switched to those, I started getting that problem.

When I arm my remote it still shows unlocked how do I fix that.

how come mine doesn't have an orange light, how do you get the orange light to come on?

I had this this alarm for quite a while. sometime is it the battery every 1 or 2 yrs i have this problem. if you have this alarm buy a backup remote.

Just bought a truck a few weeks ago, and the guy said it had remote start. How do i use the remote starter on this thing?

i press 3 times to start my truck but then it shuts off it repeats this 3 times before it completely shuts off but if i use the key i have no problems starting my truck any advice?
