History of April Fool's Day | Why Do We Celebrate April Fool's Day is an educational video that will explain why we celebrate April Fool's Day.
***Watch until the end of our video to see Quinn and Cadence pull some April Fool's Day pranks of their own.
Here are just a few facts you will learn while watching this video for kids:
*April Fool's Day is believed to have started from the change in the calendar in Europe from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar.
*The celebration of All Fools' Day, was generally celebrated on March 25th throughout much of Europe up until the 1800s.
*The earliest recorded link between April 1, pranks, and acting foolish can be found in Geoffrey Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales which was written in 1392.
*In the USA, pranks can last all day, but in other countries they may only take place until around lunch time or noon.
and much more.
This is a great resource for teachers, for a homeschool environment and for remote learning or distance learning.
