My daughter needed a new pc since her laptop was on the way out so i gave her my previous pc with a 1660 super in it and got a prebuilt ( i wasn't willing to pay the crazy prices with building at the time) with a 6700xt and have had no issues. Works very well for what i use it for. Love the videos also! Keep up the great content.

@3:30 I also had a similar experience - just recently bought a Gigabyte B660I Aorus Pro DDR4 board for the same reason.

There were some other boards with DDR4 support but when I finally decided to buy, they were all out of stock...

In response to the question at the end: I personally have both green and red team cards, I have a rtx 3080 and a rx 6600, both have different use cases. The rtx 3080 is used for my main system which is a lot of gaming and streaming. The rx 6600 i recently put into a system for my living room for a htpc, i have been using it daily for the past 3 weeks to just test out and it works flawlessly, a great card that was on sale at the time too.

I've got a 3060 Ti in my first person shooter machine and a 6800 XT in my 4k console type system. A perfect match for each.

Team Red on both, 5800x and 6900xt were much better price to performance to their counterparts prior to 12th gen when I built. I never run into issues with streaming or recording that aren’t self inflicted 😅

Team Red= central processing unit and Team Green= graphical processing unit. Been this way since the phenom II 960.

Ok so the 6700 being slower than the 12700k in blender came as a complete shock!

Lots of attention to detail here (explained benefits of fresh windows install with new build, clear percentages added during benchmark comparisons were appreciated!). Part choices even with the sponsorship were down to earth and reasonable (and practical with a handle!), much more along the lines of what someone may actually pick due to availability/compatibility. Nice to see an AMD GPU in your main rig for streaming/editing, a follow up video on that will be interesting. Well done!

Still running a GTX 1080 Ti. Still a beast and couldn't be happier that FSR 2.0 is going to become more widespread. Although the 1080 Ti is still more than enough for my 1080p monitor.

Snagged a MSI RX 6700 XT MECH 2X OC for about $350.. pretty happy with it, as my previous card was a GTX 960 4GB MSI model. Just can't justify a $800 for a 3070 Ti. CPU is a Ryzen 5 5600X.

Because of the comparability with Ryzen which I am running in all my boxes. And that AMD's cards were at MSRP lately I am running all AMD and noticing better numbers.

I actually just upgraded from a RTX 2070 to a Radeon RX 6800, after having only positive experiences with a Radeon RX 5500 XT in my living room PC. I was on the fence between the 3070 and the 6800 for a while, but once a slightly used bargain came my way, the 6800 was an unbeatable deal.

Awesome build! I'm rocking team green in my build because of the feature set, but want to build a htpc with team red. 6900xts are always on the affordable side of the cost spectrum, too..
