If I'm buying into the layering system then I'm going Mosko Moto Rak pullover and the Ectothermal heated jacket with the Urbane Pro mk3 as the armoring system.

Coupling layers into a modular system is a great idea and brands have been doing this for years. Klim jackets don’t come with thermal linings but the abrasive materials are on the outside of the jacket, that said in hotter climates and direct sun, these can get very hot. I like the Knox system but ideally would like to see abrasive materials in impact areas and CE approved. I understand the price is reflective of the lack of CE testing. I guess we can’t have it all but a massive 👍 to Knox for being radical in design.

I really Like my Knox Armored shirt with Anti Abrasion mesh. It's hard to find Anti Abrasion mesh so you are still Protected on those hot days.

Tim, I bought this jacket, along with the Urbane Pro MK3, and a pair of Storm gloves. Everything is of quality standards. However, I think your team is off on the size recommendation for the Knox brands. I've purchased jackets before from your shop and your size recommendations always worked for me (even if it disagreed with the actual brand size), so I went with what you have stated on your product pages. But, every single item that I have from you that's from Knox is 1-2 sizes too big. I usually wear a medium, the Dual Pro 3/1 feels like it's 2 sizes too big (even with the mk3 and the liner, it's still too big). The MK3 isn't snug on my body and I can wear a thick sweater(jumper for you guys) and still have some room. The gloves also a little too big. Just for reference, I'm 5'7", wear a size 32 waist in pants, my chest is 40 (teetering on 41). I feel like Knox's size would be more accurate vs what your team has suggested. But based on your recommendation I went the next size up. If only I was in the UK I would start a return, but I feel this would be too much of a hassle. So in the closet they will stay until I a) gain weight or b) find someone to buy it off of me. Regardless, love your shop, keep doing what your doing, and more importantly keep on riding!🙂

just an FYI - the 'Waterproof' Welbeck jacket is also only 10k... so yeah, this is just as 'waterproof' as their out and out 'waterproofs', according to Knox..

Tim, don't people attach their jacket to their trousers anymore. What happens in an off. As a mountain biker those pads will 100 percent move in a crash on the under jacket.

I think Knox is good for the armer as I have two pairs of there gloves, but I would still where a tougher jacket on top of the Knox armer just because if I came off Knox jackets would be ripped to shreds and I could not afford to buy a new jacket like that as they are not cheap. So I will where Knox armer but a better jacket etc

This seems as if it's the perfect layering system.

The armour underlayer needs to zip in. The jacket isn't Gore-Tex and the jacket doesn't have the ability to cinch in at the waist and base.

That green version looks awesome!

Too bad the base layer is black and will attract heat.

It’s just two jackets which don’t seem to be very well made. Bought it from SBS but took it straight back. Buttons fell off when putting it on and the hood being held in place by the same button system isn’t great. Like the idea but please……

I don't understand the principle of having abrasion resistance as lower level. Surely, logically, the abrasion resistance should be on the outer layer? So in a low speed slide with this kit you burn through two garments? Doesn't make any sense.

I like knox but to be honest they are left behind revit with their bulky armor. I hope they will come up with something slim soon...
