It mixes multiple synthesis types, combining vintage Roland oscillators and filters with PCM waves capable of PCM-SYNC and cross-modulation. Layer up to four voices in a single tone for rich, complex sounds, both classic and modern.

Very cool to have Zen Core available in a DAW. Looking forward to the updates and seeing where this goes. I hope that this finds its way to iPadOS soon. I know the video says that "authentic recreations" will be coming in the future, so I am curious about the current emulation with the patches released now. For example, the "D-50 Fantasia" patch highlighted at 1:55 sounds nothing like what I hear with the D-50 emulation in the Legendary series. The Legendary patch is rich and full with nice filters when while playing a low note. The Zenology patch sounds thin and weak in comparison. The patch design even sounds completely different. On the Legendary, I am hearing the bell tone a 4th up from the pad sound. In Zenology they are unison. I don't have a D-50 synth to compare, but I definitely prefer what I hear with the Legendary emulation a lot more. Are these supposed to be the same sound?

This might be a stupid question, but what does sound the best ? Zen-Core on Roland hardware or Zen-Core on software DAW ? I have a Roland Verselab MV-1 and I like it a lot. Made 10 songs in 5 days time. Not the best of the world. But easier than my strugles with Cubase that ended in no songs at all.... long time ago.
