I started a year ago. While I have had my own business before there were so many things I didn't know going in and I have had a lot of fun figuring out the ins and outs of owning a cookie business. I'm glad you have a business model in place and a goal to work towards. Before I opened my business I spent 1.5 years perfecting my recipes. I gave away hundreds of cookies to coworkers, friends, former graphic design/web clients to get their opinions on everything about the cookies and it paid off really well. That's kind of where my plan ended and I should have been looking into payment gateways, social media presence, multiple cost effective ingredient suppliers. Now with year 2 I'm playing catch up with some very important things. You can have the best product in the world but if you don't have the business model to match you will be ineffective or fail.
