cientists have discovered an Earth-sized exoplanet, named TOI 700 e, orbiting within the habitable zone of its star. This habitable zone, also known as the "Goldilocks zone," is the range of distances from a star where conditions are just right for liquid water to exist on a planet's surface. The newly discovered exoplanet is believed to be rocky and is 95% the size of Earth. The planet was discovered using data from NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS). This is one of only a few systems with multiple, small, habitable-zone planets known to scientists. The TOI 700 system is of great interest to scientists and more research using both space and ground-based observatories is ongoing.
