DASH doesn't seem to know where his caps lock key is.  Also, not sure what DASH did because this process worked just fine for me to modify the setting for general file operations (ie Notepad++, notepad, etc).  Some people like to blame everyone but themselves for their failures.

Seems to work for Notepad++ on Windows 7, which was what I wanted.

DUDE YOU FORGOT TO MENTION TO THESE PPL THAT IF YOU SET THE "LAUNCHING APPLICATIONS AND UNSAFE FILES" TO PROMPT, IT IS ONLY FOR INTERNET EXPLORER. MOZILLA FIREFOX AND GOOGLE CHROME HAS ITS OWN SETTINGS AND CAN BE CHANGED. AND YOU ALSO FORGOT TO MENTION THAT IT WORKS FOR BOTH WINDOWS 7&8, NOT FOR VISTA OR XP...THIS IS A TOTAL FAIL FOR ME....THUMBS DOWN!
