We Tried BOAT LIFE for 72 Hours (Is it for us?)

This week we tried #boatlife for the very first time! As newbies we had to learn the ropes (pun intended) we both learned how to drive, navigate, moor and sleep on the boat for 72 hours.
We were a little worried how this would go as Aimee can get quite boat sick, but as we were on the Scottish lochs, there wasn't a wave in sight and we honestly had the trip of a lifetime.
On this trip we sailed the Caledonian canal on the Great Glen Way. An absolutely stunning part of the Scottish highlands.
We left from Inverness and made out way all the way down to Fort Augustus - where we had to use our new found skills on the 6 flight locks! (We had help don't worry!)
The full length of the canal is around 60 miles and usually ends in Fort William.
It was so exciting to be able to take this HUGE boat out on Loch ness by ourselves - a dream trip and we were lucky enough to get the best weather for it! Seeing Scotland via boat is such a different perspective - We would highly recommend it and it you're nervous about the boat - don't be!
