This is the best introduction to a live song ever. Nothing else comes close. Absolutely fantastic.

You’re driving down the highway, weary from being behind the wheel for so long.
You hear a familiar little bit of an intro begin and suddenly you recognize it.
Sweet Jane ‘live!’
Oh, thank you, Lord.
Thank you, Mr. dj!

You crank it up, the traffic clears, and the road and the music becomes your very own.
Sweet, indeed.

I know Steve Hunter, and Dick Wagner have the spotlight on them here, but don't forget Prakash John playing some of the BEST bass ever recorded! Not even kidding.

70 years old and I never tire of this album. Two guitars are perfect for this song.

This recording is legend and for good reason. Amid the awesome dual lead guitars are some of the sweetest bass lines in rock and roll history. Prakash John lays down a fabulous melodic bass line and solo. John and Pentti Glan on drums put down a killer foundation for the slick guitar work. The 70s was truly the age of musical creation. Thanks Cee

We used to play this stuff fresh off the vinyl presses in 1970s
R&RAnimal, Berlin, Billion dollar Babies, Bowie's Hunky Dory through Station to Station, Dark Side, Machinehead, Physical Graffiti etc etc

!970s = the decade of guitar rock. Forget the big hair metal that came later.

Does this or does this not, indicate how dominant the 70's were for music! And among the dominant ones, this is near the top!

I was there in about the 10th row. Center stage. Lou's band came out first and did that long intro. At 3:19 is where Lou Reed came onstage. That's where you hear the crowd applause. He looked freaky to me but it was a great, rocking concert.
