Whoever's struggling with the R sound, don't lose hopes. It took me more than 1 years' practice to master this sound! Practice really makes everything perfect!

The r is the toughest for me if it's an initial r. Practice will hopefully win the day.

My main mistake is reading french in full sentences and figuring out what letters. are silent.

The "r" nor the "u" are the most difficult sounds, you can get used to them easily, the difficult parts are the diphthongs like the "eu" the "œ" and when to pronounce the "s" like "z" and when like an "s", you can get by mispronouncing the "r" and at times de "u", but the previously mentioned are essential to being understood in French.
Here's an example of not being understood:
"Est-ce que tu peux aller au cinema ce soir"
Where I would have pronounced it as
"Ess kuh tu po aller oh cinéma suh suar" pretty much being misunderstood until I said it correctly

C'est vraiment drôle de voir d'un point de vu extérieur les difficultés de ma propre langue. Par exemple, dire «c'est» est tellement naturel et automatique pour moi que le fait de le voir décomposé en «ce/ceci est/être» me fait prendre conscience que le français n'est peut-être pas SI simple à apprendre quand on ne grandi pas avec.

This video is really helpful. R's can be quite hard but I really can't tell the difference between aspirated and unaspirated h's, despite always being silent. Not just in this lesson but in general. In general though, some of the hardest sounds for me to make are words with the "œ" in it, like in the words "Cœur" or "Sœur".

There are exception about the mute "c" at the end, they mostly are in conjugaison and those verbs are irregular. Here's an example with the verb *convaincre* :

Je convaincs (cs are mute)
Tu convaincs (cs muted)
*Il/elle/on convainc (muted c)*
Nous convaincons (muted s)
Vous convainquez
Il convainquent (muted nt)

Thus some letters can become mute at the plural (with the plural mark). Here are some examples:

Un œuf (no muted letters), des œufs (the f and the s became muted)
*Watch out!* : not all letters ending by "f" have their final "f" becoming muted at the end!
Examples:
neuf (nine but let's take the meaning meaning "new") -> neufs (only the plural mark is muted)

This video is very clear. It's a good source so as to get a better French pronunciation. Do you have any link who explains something about "Conditional Tenses"in French? I have a doubt about the conjunction "lorsque" and the following verb you use in this video, I mean, don't know if after this conjunction my following verb is in conditional tense or simple present. Thank you so much.

salut. Je sais que cela semble mauvais, mais pouvez-vous me dire où il se trouve au chapitre 8. Vous avez dit dans chaque ligne que nous allons apprendre au chapitre 8 de la leçon 8
