Strange Otis Elevonic 401 Traction Elevators at The Hyatt Regency Cascades Tower in Bellevue, WA

These elevators were definitely rather interesting! Obviously, given the fact all of the elevators in the Complex this Hotel is located in have/had White Newer Otis Lexan fixtures, these elevators almost certainly had that originally, but likely when the other tower was built (which has Otis Series 4), these elevators recieved a slap on mod, with the Yellow Series 2/4 fixtures. I am assuming this was done to make the interiors of the elevators in the 2 towers match more, but otherwise, I am not sure what the reasoning behind the Slap On Mod was. Aside from the Replaced fixtures though, these elevators are basically otherwise totally original. A couple things I do find weird about them is that these use the Big Indicator boxes but with the Small Series 2 indicator digits on the inside, just like the Westin Peachtree Plaza, and even though these are very much still Elevonic 401s (the call recognition gives it away), they added a very weird and obnoxious sounding floor passing chime on top of the original one....It HURTS my EARS and I'm definitely not a fan.... Aside from the added floor passing chimes however, I do like these elevators a lot, I find them to be very interesting for so many reasons and while I wish the fixtures are original, I do like how everything else about them is and I definitely think the cabs are very nice too and hopefully these aren't modded again anytime soon. Out of all of the Elevonic 401 systems in the Seattle area, I would say these are the most boring ones, but that's not saying much. These elevators are still a TON of fun and I'm very much happy I got to see these!

Modernized in Circa 2000s or Early 2010s. (COPs and Call Stations replaced with Yellow Series 2/4 fixtures, otherwise left original)

These look like the guest elevators at the Westin Peachtree Plaza in Atlanta. Those are Smart Keyed, but the scenic ones there aren’t locked off at all.

That bell is low pitched as an older Series 1.

These are actually Elevonic 411M-C because they modded a elevonic 401 system
