If you guys have been watching me for a while you might remember these!
These elevators are located in Seattle's 5th tallest building, and the building has the 2nd highest floor count of any building of the city, and here we have some Original 62 FLOOR Otis Lexan Elevators! Now, these elevators may not be the "Classic" Lexan, these are the Newer "Series 1" Lexan meaning they use digital controllers and aren't relay controlled and the buttons push more like GAL JetPlus as opposed to the Classic Lexan that was made from the 60s-Early 80s, but the fixtures are still REALLY COOL & ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL and while these may not be the Older Lexan, these are the tallest known Lexans in existence on YouTube AS A WHOLE! AT 62 FLOORS! And what's especially cool is that these elevators feature the RAREST Form of the Lexan fixtures ever, which is the California Code Compliant version of the Newer Lexan, the only other place I know of that had these was the Disney's Beach/Yacht Club, and while it sucks the Yacht/Beach Club elevators no longer exist, these elevators DESTROY those elevators hands down between how many floors they serve, the BEAUTIFUL Cabs, HOW FAST THESE ARE, the list goes on! The Express Elevators that go up to the SkyLobby go about 1200-1400 FPM while the Local Elevators that serve 40 and 52-61 go about 800-1000 FPM. And what's also interesting is that the Express Elevators as well as the Service Elevators have the Elevonic 401 floor passing beep and call recognition, while the Local Elevators just have the Microwave Beep and behave more like the Elevonic 411 Elevators with Series 3 fixtures. The thought of Otis using two different models for this building may sound strange, and it is, but both models did coexist when this building was built and it definitely makes these unique!
And did I mention the Service Elevator!?!? If you think the COPs on the Main Elevators are BEAUTIFUL & EPIC, Get a load of the one on the Service Car! It's definitely not everyday you see a 62 floor Lexan COP of ANY KIND! Unfortunately, we couldn't ride it as all of the floors on it were locked, but at least we got a look at it.
I am glad I at least got to ride the Main Elevators again though, which are sadly keycarded off now, and this brings me to the most unfortunate thing about these elevators, which is that they will all be modernized into Otis Compass 360 in the very near future. According to the Seattle City Governments' Page about to Modernization, the modernization isn't expected to be completed till Early 2026, and when this video was shot, not even half of the elevators in the building had been modernized (only 2 banks were modded out of a total of 8 banks of elevators in the building). That being said though, it is still very unfortunate to know these elevators will be going and if the parking elevator is anything to go by, the new elevators certainly won't have the level of thrill, character, beauty and charm as these original elevators did. That all being said though, for those of you who want to film these elevators, you have about 2-3 years left to do so before they're all gone! I am HOPING the building at least leaves the Service Elevators original, but unfortunately, given the length of the mod project I doubt that'll happen. We will find out however eventually though.

This all being said however, I hope you enjoy my video of what are the TALLEST & FASTEST Otis Lexan Elevators in EXISTENCE, featuring 2 different elevator controller models in ONE building that'll unfortunately soon bite the dust in the next couple of years.

Installed in 1990. (Otis Elevonic 401 [Express & Service Elevators] & Elevonic 411 [Local Elevators] with Newer California Code Compliant Lexan Fixtures)

Being Modernized from Late 2021-Early 2026. (Otis Compass 360 Elevonic R or SkyRise Mod with New Controllers, New Lanterns, Series M2 Fixtures, Likely New Motors and Cabs, etc. Only the outer doors will remain as is.)

Nice elevators. I think the reason why the floors were locked off on the express elevators and main elevators was because it was probably after hours in the building

Wow, they really are modernizing a lot of my old favorites. I swear, if the 1982 Fujitecs at the Sheraton Grand get modernized and I don't get to see them again I am going to be really sad. Also, what time of day was this filmed? I want to assume that these elevators were locked because of the time of day but sadly I could see these being locked 24/7.

Wait, how are there that many banks elevators? And which ones are modded? Are the express elevators still original, it looks like they were to me.
