The lengthy process of extracting data from a GIS system to build and update new and existing models is a useful thing for companies to be able to do. The Gregg Engineering GIS Import Module automates the task of creating pipeline models by importing a model configuration that has been exported from the GIS system. It can be used to create a connected pipes model, which is the most time consuming part of the modeling process. The modeler can then take the model and complete the model building process manually.
