No watering for 5 months - NEGLECTED SUCCULENTS

I grow my succulents to suit my lifestyle. Every year, we go on a prospecting trip for gold and gemstones and my succulents have to fend for themselves. I prepare them to be able to withstand the frost of Winter and many months without anyone tending or watering them. They will suffer and look ugly but eventually they recover and grow beautiful again.

Kind of teared up in the end after seeing how wonderfully your plants recovered and got even more beautiful. They're amazing, and it's heartwarming to see how much you care for them. Thank you for sharing this part of your journey. 💚

Hi Liz, thanks for the warning! If I didn’t know you by now, the word “neglect” seems cruel, LOL, but no, it’s our way of life. What is amazing is that, most of them if not all ( your succulents) are SURVIVORS ! Assuming that there was no rain in those 5 months that you were away, they depended on the GOOD SOIL that you provided them and a little bit of moist in the air to survive and on top of that, they reproduce! What a resilience.I keep learning from them. They are one of the most interesting plants on the planet. School children should tour your garden to learn, (, first hand experience is very important, ) about adaptability and resilience in relation to real life! Thank you so much for sharing.I never miss to learn from any of your videos! I tend to look beyond the interest of succulents! Thanks again!

Oh my God thanks for sharing the beginning of your succulent addiction. Now I dont feel so bad about my plants. And also that the plants have hope. Hopefully I will learn as much as you have with your help. Thank you Liz!☺
And I really got stocked when I saw the succulents so dry, so thanks for the warning at the beginning. 😆
