Hey friends, I got a lot of requests to respond to Harmeet Dhillon's prayer to Waheguru last week at the RNC. What is the real issue with her prayer? Is it what we think it is? Let's get right into it :)

The first error is believing the RNC is a Christian organized that cares about scriptures.

What verse comes to my mind is “ Thou shalt have no gods before me” and ….”I am a jealous God …”

I believe they know exactly what they are doing, not just a blunder.

I am reminded of the 10 Commandments. You Shall Have No Other Gods Before Me.

Nate, thank you so much for covering this.
It's painful to see people, who claim to be Christians, being so wilfully blinded by false "saviours", while having their eyes wide open.
They just adore to worship their human gods.

This was a well thought out video. I hope people watch the full thing. The issues wasn’t her prayer necessarily, but the issue was conflating it with Christian imagery and a Christian Benediction. The Republican Party likes to appeal to Christians but is not a Christian platform. We need to remember that Republican values are not Christian values inherently.

My last name is Dhillon too. I was saved two months ago. She needs to be saved.

I would have stood up and politely stopped her and walked her off the stage and told her, NO, we worship Jesus Christ and him alone.

Christians in the room should have started praying out to the one true God giving Him all praise and glory and honor.

this is such an important thing to talk about. People are pushing HARD to say ‘Every religious person worships the same god, they just all have their own name for god’ I guess they say this to push for ‘equality’ ?? The Bible quite literally tells us that this is not the case, and its scary how much of the church has become pushovers in this regard.

Thank you so much for covering this; so few are covering it so far on YouTube. I've got my notifications on to alert me when you upload.

We've been so busy dealing with attacks from the left that we forgot about the rot in our own party.

But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

This is what we get when most of our churches preach justification 52 weeks per year and forget to teach sanctification.

we have to remember that a lot of people that profess christianity have never picked up a bible and read it. honestly I believe that a lot of those in the republican party do not belong to God.

I, as a Christian, was so upset about this prayer to a false god that I was feeling physically sick. I couldn’t believe it. When she said her false god was the one true god and he created America my mouth was dropping open. I am old and live alone and have no family close by. I immediately called my son, who is a Christian, and lives 4, 000 miles away and told him what I had just heard. I also felt that I didn’t want to have anything more to do with the Republican Party. My first thought was the commandments, thy shall have no other gods before me and you shall not make idols. I am a Christian all the time. I don’t change because I’m at a convention or any where else. I like President Trump’s policies and am planning to vote for him for the third time, but I can’t condone praying to a false god. By the grace of God, President Trump’s life had just been saved from an assassin’s bullet and here at his convention someone was praying to a false God. I still don’t know what to do. I’m praying about it. I like the lady, Harmeet, who said the prayer. When she ran for RNC Chairman, I thought she was the best person for the job. She has a right, in America, to practice any religion she chooses or no religion at all, but I don’t think this prayer at the RNC convention was appropriate.

I'm so glad you're addressing this. I've heard a few Christians say they dont think it is a big deal! Very disturbing.

I can't thank you enough for covering this. I haven't seen anyone saying much about it. When I heard that last week...it just didn't sit right with me. I put my faith in the ONE and ONLY Creator Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

I will remain quiet while someone not of my faith does a public benediction at an event. However, I will not bow my head, share a stage or 'agree', lest I give even the appearance of syncretism.

I understand that this event/convention featured different faith leaders. I understand the concept that US citizens enjoy religious freedom. Again, there are still things I won't do to avoid making all religions look equal.

That particular evening, the LCMS pastor who gave a benediction made sure he did not share the stage at the same time with the Sikh lady while she chanted.

I mean, religious liberty. But as a Christian it makes me uncomfortable.
