Thank you so much Kati for this series. It was super helpful with my history of sexual abuse and really helped remind me I'm not a bad person because of how i learned to cope with the abuse.

Preach it Kati! This is all so Just want to share a personal story I contracted an STD and I was a fool and didn't treat it properly so it was left for a long time. Recently I ended up in hospital with severe pain turned out that I had pelvic inflammatory disease caused from not treating the STD properly. Now I do not know if I have done permanent damage to my reproductive organs. Please everyone make sure you get tested and follow the advice from the health professional it is so important I can stress that enough!

Hey, Kati! I really want to thank you for your videos, they are very helpful for me as someone who has depression and anxiety, and has been through sexual abuse.

I found the area I regards to informing the physician on point...I had my counselor help me inform mine. Then he and I discussed it, he was saddened I kept it to myself for so long because he never knew of my childhood abuse and how bad the relationship with my ex was until I ended up in the hospital.
But now that he he knows it makes my appointments with him so much more easy and less stressful...sometimes we need to have extra help to get there..but it's worth it.
THANK You so much for this series Kati💛💛

I’m on birth control but I still never have sex with partners because there’s nothing I want less in life than to ever get pregnant. It’s caused a lot of problems in relationships sometimes causing them to end. I’m wondering if you have any advice on how I can get over that because I know it’s kind of irrational but I can’t help it, I’m terrified of getting pregnant.

These 4 videos (along with all your videos) are a terrific resource, Kati! I like your down-to-Earth, matter of fact "style with a smile"! They're going to help a lot of people.

I posted a question for this series, that wasn't answered, and I'm not sure where to find the answer. What if you have sexual urges (the need for sensual touch) and you don't have a partner? I'm not talking about masturbation, just touch. Some have called it skin hunger. Would you advice on this? I'd really like to know.

#KatiFAQ
Is it bad that I find myself wishing that I had anorexia? I have had many issues with eating starting since I was 10 (I’m 14 now), and I’ve looked at myself as fat ever since I was a child. Despite being a healthy weight, whenever people tell me that I’m skinny or ‘healthy’, I don’t believe them.
I’ve fasted before for about 24 hours at a time, and I’ve also skipped meals etc, but I’ve never been diagnosed or seen a doctor. I’m constantly counting calories and thinking about food and whenever I eat something that is over my “calorie limit”, I feel guilty. Sometimes, I want to try and purge, although vomiting is the worst feeling and I’ve not vomited since I had the flu at age 5. Another problem is that I really enjoy food and cooking. I find myself daydreaming about food constantly, and I love baking sweets and cooking for my family, although I rarely eat the food I make.
Other times, when people make me mad (especially my mom, she can be very controlling), I want to fast/skip meals and become thin as a form of revenge. Or when there are people I want to impress (like a coach/teacher or friend), I want to become super thin to get their attention.
I also find myself viewing triggering things, even informational videos on anorexia (like yours or others simply stating facts, etc.) and anorexia recovery stories, and use this to fuel my dieting/fasting. I am also a very perfectionistic person, so I don't know if that has anything to do with this. I know that I don't have an eating disorder, and I know that eating disorders are a mental illness, but sometimes I wish that I had one, just to have an explanation to my behavior.
Thank you so much!

HPV is actually the MOST common. Depending on the type of HPV it can cause warts and others cause changes in cervical cells which can lead to cancer. Women need regular pap smears to check for HPV and cellular changes. Also, get vaccinated against HPV, which protects against many of the most carcinogenic strains.

my obgyn talks to me while doing physical exams. i dont have an abusive past but i think its still very reassuring nonetheless & helps me with being anxious (which is not good with those exams because of all those muscles contracting)
