In 1968, I worked over night at a Clark Gas Station. In the wee hours of the morning, after the bars closed, when it was dead, I’d crank up the radio in the gas station, open the front door, and listen to this song, Incense&Peppermints, Honey, and other songs of that year. The station had floor to ceiling glass all around. The tunes would rattle those big windows, and that sweet experience has stayed with me from age 17, up to today at age 72. Man, it was a beautiful time for music.

I know Cherish is everyone's favorite song by the Association but I am of the opinion that this is their BEST SONG going away!

Why isn't The Association in the Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame? Beautiful melodies and the list art of harmony

I was born in 1953. And I think that I grew up in the best years ever. Hot girls, hot car's and the best music ever.

Dedicated to my girl in 1968 when we met that night. Knew right away! Married in 1971 and still have each other today. Love! We did manage to see the band in Davenport, Iowa later. A funny story is the time had to lie about her age to get into The Graduate movie!

The best song “THE ASSOCIATION” ever did in my humble opinion. The harmonies & orchestration are incredible. Especially for the time. AH ..the 60’s… loved it

So much to love about this. Men in double breasted jackets and scarf ties. The sideburns. The uniqueness of oriental man among white guys in the 60s. The footwork. Just watching them enjoy the music they are putting out. The tambourine. Beautiful. We have lost a lot of class these past decades.

I too think this was one of their best songs, it reminds me of my wife, whom I met back in 1968, we were married for 48 great years, she died back in 2021 but she was every word of that song!!! Miss her bunches 😢😢😢.

Through many betrayals, abandonment's and lonely decades, I finally married a girl that I could hardly look at her beautiful face because she couldn't 'See' me.
After age 13 in 63 to age 54 in 2003, my last abandonment left me open to seek her out and marry her.
Tomorrow, Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve) we will be celebrating our 19 Wedding Anniversary!
When I go to just the Store and I hear this Song, I thank God for her and my life at age 73.

Yes, it simply is a great sond. So many fond memories of growing up in the 1960s. It was a good time to grow up no matter what people say.

Dear Lord, this is one of my all time favorite songs. It brings me right back to the 60's and my youth. I was so fortunate to have lived when this song was first out, it touched me then and it touches me now. The Association were simply the top on my list and my list was very short with bands of their caliber.

I'll be 70 in a few short weeks. Having grown up in the 60s, it's hard to believe that I heard this song just a few years ago. Now, one of my all-time favourites. Reminds me so much of the 60s and just how lucky I was to have grown up in such an innocent and carefree time.

A very underrated, moving and lovely song. The associations harmonies only enhance the songs greatness!
