In 1928, Ernest Hemingway's father shot himself, after becoming increasingly worried about money.
Of his six children, three, possibly four met the same end and other family members struggled with depression and addiction, including Gregory, Ernest's third born and his granddaughter Margaux, the first million dollar supermodel. Five, maybe six in four generations led to speculation about a family curse, but Margaux’s sister Mariel bravely made a film highlighting the realities of mental illness and calling for greater openness and honesty about this, to ensure people get help sooner to avoid future tragedies.

My understanding is genes only play half the role though. The other half can be affected by environment. Which means there is hope.

Its DNA sadly. Theres two types of depression, environmental (rape, war PTSD etc etc) and DNA type depression. Sadly its the last type thats the hardest to fix.

This is a supernatural illness it's a spirit and it's my experience and the experience of others paying attention to a suicide victim nearby there will be another one maybe several before it moves on to somebody else somewhere sales to somewhere else. it's a spirit..
It is horrible that people fall victim to such a spirit. And medication is not the answer. The answer is the basically the same it's a spirit and it must be dealt in the spirit.
