Most people don't know this, but the word chaos is actually an acronym. It stands for Chief Has Arrived On Scene.

Used to work at a particular hospital as the trash guy. Cool supervisor left to work at another hospital and new supervisor sucked. Because she hated doing any work, she started insisting I carry a radio so she could call me if she needed me (translation: If she couldn't foist the work off on anyone else). Somehow, she ALWAYS radioed when I was in the bathroom. One night, I got tired of it so when she radioed to ask if I was busy, I answered by holding the radio low enough for it to pick up me taking a leak. I learned later our radios not only were also used by the operator, ER, and security, but it the local police and fire stations also had a radio keyed to ours.

I regret nothing but that was a hell of a thing.

The two words no firefighter wants to hear from dispatch, "open mic."

People are already praising the acting, but I just wanted to say that you do such a good job with facial expressions that my brain didn't even register that the chief was the same actor! Always a pleasure watching your videos.

This is a police story, but, relevant, I think. One of our districts was/is notorious for publicly patting each other on the back with really elaborate rewards for things that would occur regularly on our district as our call volume and level of violence is way higher (like 35, 000 more calls per year higher). One day, myself and some of my guys are helping to re-load a train after someone tried to burglarize it by literally unloading an entire car’s worth of Budweiser as it was stopped for maintenance. In the middle of the work it starts pouring down rain to add to the fun. One of our K9 officers had just left a call from this other district and stopped by to help (and to commiserate with the fact that we had to put hands on all of this beer and not drink any of it). As the K9 started to help us, they leaned into a crate while they were pivoting in place to help move the cases and ended up keying up on the other district right as one of my guys said in frustration, “You know, we would get a fuckin’ medal for this if we were on XXXX District…”. Howling laughter followed and once we finished laughing the K9 officer turned pale because their ear-piece was blowing up with XXXX District guys losing their shit. One of their guys came down to see what all the fuss was about and said, “I have to admit… we really would give our guys a medal for this.” 😂

I like to think that Jason puts on the chief's shirt and instantly stops being fun. Everyone thinks he's doing it as a joke but, no, he's just like that until someone manages to wrestle it off of him.

Forget fire fighting, acting has been your true callin all along

This feels like a Brooklyn nine-nine segment

Ive seen busdrivers do this while i was at school. They had two or 3 radios in each one, one was for short range bus to bus communication, ones for calling the school and one for connecting to everyone (the second one was sometimes not included it seemed) and every now and then a bus driver would grab the wrong one and trash talk the school across the wide open one and that was when the fun began

Or the time the roads were blocked and we had to take a 45 minute detour except one bus didnt listen and we had to wait for an hour an a half for them to turn around then take the detour, what the other drivers said to them was hilarious and completely unfiltered

The only thing faster than this film is how fast those firefighters are gonna be told to start scrubbing the floors.

There is not a more sinking feeling then when you discover you've been hot mic'd for the past couple minutes!

And this is why I always check if the mic is hot before saying something exceptionally spicy

Nothing like a cold sweat when dispatch informs you you have an open mic 😨

Firefighter Trolls: "Hey, Chief, are we going to fight more INSANE fires this month?"
Chief: (Loops 0:24 for an hour)

I absolutely love how you are the only actor, but with a small costume change of stuff you probably just have in your closet and *that glorious face* you pull it off incredibly well

Been that way just about everywhere I've worked. Firefighting I've never done. I used to follow my old manager around and refix the machines he worked on. Then they made him a manager and I had less of a workload. He was really good at paperwork though, in his defense.

This would be a good crossover with Angry Cops and Donut Operator.

This needs an epilogue where the chief says something or the guys in the car realize radio was on.
