The glue for rat traps can also be used to catch cockroaches and mosquitos.
For cockroaches.
Take the lid of a plastic canister, apply some glue inside, put some food for bate, and the cockroaches will keep going in (and never come out....!!!).
You can leave it in discreat places around the house, where no person will set foot, like underneath the fridge.
It can last for a whole year without a problem. And even if you deside to change it, the cost is dirt cheap. There's plenty of plastic lids to set up a new trap.
Just be careful of the glue, it sticks to bare hands quite hard so wear gloves when handling it.
For mosquitos.
Take the plastic canister (of which you took the lid for the cockroach trap), make a hole in the middle, and set up a small blue light, like the one shown in the video. It doesn't need to be bright. A simple 3 watt bulb will do the trick. It only needs to be blue.
Since you'll set the canister to sit on it's side, it helps that the light is not heavy. It won't tip the canister over.
Apply some glue around and below the light. No need to glue above the light.
No need to worry also about glue falling out of the canister and rouning your furniture. The canister lip is keeping it raised upwards.
Again, place it in a discreet position where nobody will mess around with it, especialy small children. They are curious about everything so be carefull of children.
Plug it in, and let the mosquitos buzz there instead of around your head when you try to sleep at night.
It even works for flies!
If you let it on continously, it'll consume around half a euro per year.
