Κουνούπια και μύγες τέλος - How to make a mosquito net to cover large areas

Additional to the previously presented methods for fighting mosquitoes and cockroaches and ants and flies, you can make a big net to cover a wide area and keep mosquitoes out.

The main thing you're gonna need is the net itself. You basicaly make a cube, made out of mosquito net.
This particular one is measured to cover a 4x4 meter area, at a hight about 2 to 2.5 meters, so you'll need to calculate the net you need for the sides, according to the area you want to cover, and how high you want it.

You can attach two horizontal pipes, 4m long on top, to help with stiching the net pieces together, and also serve as stable points, to designate the top corners of the cube. You can omit the pipes if you cann't afford them, it's realy your choice.

After stiching the pieces of net together, attach ropes on the corners, and hang it from stationary points around your yard, to form the cube. You'll need one more point to hang the rope that keeps the door upright. The door can be made with magnets that keep the two sheets together, and open easily to let people in and out.

At the bottom of the nets, you'll have to add something that keeps the side sheets in place, and don't let them move around due to wind. I placed a kind of rope that has integrated led in it, that makes it heavy. It is used in fishing nets, and it works fine. Anything similar will also work fine.

In case you want to undo the net, you only need to undo the two ropes that hold the one side, plus the one for the door. The other two ropes don't need to be released. Just fold the released pipe over the stationary pipe, and the whole net is folded to the side. Nice and tidy.

The same trick also works for balkonies and porches. And you can also make a metal frame, just like the one I made in this video ..........

and hang the net over it. It will work the same. There are plenty of applications. Enjoy your summer without anoying mosquitoes and flies.
