I'm 22 so I guess kind of young for Johnny cash and I'm from the UK. Yet he is my favourite musician and resonates so much with me for some reason. Just regret I could never see him live

Miss him alot . He was always an inspiration to me . Never be another Johnny Cash ... he was a true country boy that never let his stardom and fame go to his head . A very humble man and always so genuine and real . God Bless you Johnny . May you rest in peace with June and your loved ones up there with our maker .

You know ..johnny struggled his life w addiction...but he never gave up....never kicked God to the curb. He was not ashamed of his life and his faith in his God. I'm 79 and still listen to his music.

Man in Black, sung for us poor old boys, troubled, most people don't understand. But he did, God love him

This man is tops! Right after he sang " A Boy Named Sue" and made it a hit, I wrote Mr. Cash and gave him a song that I wrote called, " A Girl Named John ". Six months later, I received a hand written personal letter ( in black felt tipped pen). He told me that before he got my song, someone had written another song in response to his Boy Named Sue. He told me to keep on writing songs! He gave me a personal address to send my songs to so he could get it right away. I still have that letter! I will cherish it forever. I got married and went on a different career, but music stayed in my life. He was the greatest! Friend David!

This makes me cry. This amazingly talented man who made his climb to success from poverty despite an abusive father discouraging him much of his life. He has lifted hearts, and made people laugh. What a legacy of music he left us. God bless Johnny Cash and all who helped him make the world feel better.

I grew up listening with my dad to Johnny Cash, WalonJennings, Willie Nelson, Meryl Haggard and now they are passing away but the music still makes me smile and cherish the time I heard them on the porch with my dad. Now he's waiting for me to listen to them we're together in the next life. We will sing along and laugh like years past. Thank you for the music that gave us hours of love your as missed as he is.
