The thing is, none of this matters because of how a WT match is structured and plays out. Missiles literally fly at you from every direction that you can’t anticipate any incoming threat; the spotting mechanics are hilariously outdated, the way matches play leave almost zero room for strategy. They need to overhaul air battles so that all these missiles and and mechanics can actually work.

1v1 custom dogfight: constantly on edge, both trying to keep the WEZ jam try to play into your aircraft strenght, beautiful fight while trying to out radius/out rate your opponent

Actual WT gameplay: both of you getting killed by a random teammate spamming missile at the furball

More lethal missiles will change the meta and bust furballs. It's probably a step to push more BVR mentality ahead of Fox 3's later this year.

Now if only we could get Gaijin to spread out AirRB objectives 🤔

Honestly looks like they are pretty even. R73 has the edge in the dogfight but thats pretty much it. 9m has the advantage with its superior flare rejection (unless they changed it). An f16 with a good pilot seems like it'll win most of the time. Unfortunately that doesn't mean much in a game where being 3rd partied is common.

Good thing 9Ms and R-73s will probably be nerfed a little bit before the update. I really, really, wouldn't want to meet them in their current state in my poor little Tornado 😭

Thank you heaps, i needed this video just to cool myself off to see that the R73 still is not as flare resistant as it used to be but also that the 9M is not OP when it comes to tracking your aircraft. Although it will all make difference in ARB when its not constant dog fighting but head on and long range locking from sides and rear.
