One reason that viewership is going down may be that Youtube is inserting excessively long adverts lately.
That is not only on your channel, and I do not know if you can control it in any way (e.g. select between short, medium and long ads in your settings), but when Youtube starts an add that lasts 90+ seconds and cannot be skipped for 54 seconds I usually quit viewing that video, and I expect others do the same.
