An Apricot Treat! 😊 Wood Turning

preview_player

First time turning Apricot. I had to sharpen many times. I finally decided, after cleaning up all the wood chips and seeing the leftover fine dust, it's from a very sandy area and the sand is what dulled my chisel so often.
Finished in shellac.

I realize that I am beginning to sound very much like a parrot, but once again what a stunning piece! In my best over exaggerated, mocking, old lady, British voice, "Maaarvelous darhling! Simply maaarvelous!" 💗😉😊

Another Shady Acres masterpiece! I love the feather, and with the two lobes it does look like an Xray of a lower back! Nice work, as always, Phil!

Really beautiful, Phil. And I learned something new tonight with the marking being called a " feather." So glad to know it has a name. I had a feather in a piece of Maple I did recently and did not know what it was! You are always a good teacher with big things and small. Have a great weekend.😊

There’s another beauty. I’ll go along with you on it looking like the spine. I have had five back surgeries all my L vertebrae’s are now fused. Thank God for talented surgeons. Also thanks to you for entertaining us.
