As great as tomato soup and grilled cheese are together, I love to experiment with other sugars/acids to accompany the sandwich. Every time I have a grilled cheese, I try and pair it with something new! Halved cherry tomatoes, caramelised onions, coarse mustard, vegan kimchi, pesto, miso paste… the possibilities are endless!

If you're poor like myself, a simple can of Campbell's tomato soup with a couple spoonfuls of mild salsa is 🙌 also dust some garlic POWDER (not salt) on your butter/mayo spread.

Yum! I made a baked tomato soup yesterday (basically all the same ingredients except you roast the whole thing in the oven for an hour, stirring halfway through) so I have a big bowl of leftovers today. I know what kind of grilled cheese I'm making to go with it! Huzzah for garlic 😁
