That price is actually lower than I thought it would be. I expected the Transcontinental to be pushing $30K. And it probably does if you load on the options.

Great & informative review fellas. I’m in Australia & I bought the 1st Edition just on 12 months ago. Absolutely bog standard, stripped down version but with reverse gear! Although I’ve hardly used the reverse gear, when I have, it’s been a godsend! Loved that new 719 Option & if I was looking to upgrade, would I go for it? HELL YEAH!🤪🤤🤣 Cheers from “Down Under” 👍🏼😎🇦🇺

Harley’s and Indians are much more expensive $27-45K………have you guys been living under a rock ? $21-25K And say 5K more to total out at 30K with added options is pretty INEXPENSIVE by comparison to Harley and Indian…..

I like the option 719 paint scheme! Harley has great factory paint work, this year offering their own fade version called Snake Venom.

Every car/truck that uses adaptive cruise control can apply the brakes in addition to using engine braking to slow the vehicle.

I ordered a K100RS back in the day. It was the first cycle with anti lock brakes late 80's early 90's anyway while I was waiting for my bike I had a guy pay me to ride his Harley softail from southern to northern CA, up the 101. None of the shit that mattered gets covered in the stats of the cycle magazine. From the herds of cows running when the straight pipes roared, to me thinking I looked a little tougher as I road through some rain, and the reassurance of the solid, but almost lazy motor as it pushed me down the road. I called and cancelled the K100 had to settle for a sporty but over a million miles on HD's 300-K on Sportsters I don't regret it besides Harley chicks are fun and Beemer chicks are practical.

The color option is litteraly something prince would've rode

I thought that was a reasonable price considering Harley-Davidson baggers and on this there is more technology

I detest cruiser bikes but was given the opportunity to have one last weekend. I was mighty impressed. It’s got locomotive level torque, features galore, and surprisingly I find myself attracted to the appearance (esp. that driveshaft). Yesterday I rode my RT, featuring its adjustable windscreen, perfect ergos, and sportbike level handling. I am not sure if I can sacrifice that.

It's interesting to see another major manufacturer debuting an air-cooled luxury touring bike. When I sold them, I used to say, "Most of us get there eventually." Perhaps we're getting there sooner and maybe this is a sign that the market is seeing new life. Either way, this one seems to check all of the boxes and appears to be a bona fide contender. Congratulations!

Thank you for the video. Just a opinion, I have the hill start control on my 1250GS. I find it comes in handy at a long stop light waiting. After making sure the car behind me stops I activate hill start and can take my hands and feet off the controls and the hill start keeps the brake light on. I am looking forward to your test ride video. Take care.

24k is average for a bagger. Its a lot of money yes.. But right in line with Harley and Indian

I wonder how some of these bikes get through to production.

I must be getting old as both these Beemeers interest me, I have had a few GS's and still trying to find a GS800 Dakar or Motad model, I have a V-Max and a few bitsa bike's as winter hacks, I would go for the option 719 paint scheme for sure.

Good content guys. Props to BMW for such a bold bike! I think I would go for the metallic paint scheme. I love it!

One second u say hill control is probably useless.. 3 seconds later backup assist is helpful.. Its almost 1000lbs gents having full foot placement with a brake assist on a hill would definitely help some riders.
