What is the Fibonacci sequence? This very well known sequence is named after Leonardo of Pisa, better known as Fibonacci. The sequence starts with 1, 1 (or 0, 1) and every subsequent element in the sequence is the sum of the previous two. For example, here are the first 6 elements: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8.
