The Downfall of Skeppy: From Legend To Liar

Here is why Skeppy, the once Legendary Youtuber, fell off and is the way he is now. (I miss the old skeppy)

I do wanna mention I still am a fan of Skeppy and still watch his content. But for me personally I noticed that some his newer videos were just a bit off and a lot of other people thought the same way, so i was like hey, why not make a vid on it.

I went over how Skeppy met Badboyhalo, how Skeppy and a6d met, a6d's drama, a6d exposing Skeppy for being fake,, Skeppy's Fiverr series and how it got exposed to be faked, and what that could mean for BadBoyHalo. I also mentioned Skeppy's new editing with InstaAE. Sorry if you disagree with the things said in the video but I just wanted people to know the truth.

Btw I should mention that I still enjoy watching some skeppy videos and the main point of this video was giving unknown stories a bit of a voice because no one really knows about all this stuff. So I just wanted to shine some light ya know

I mean you can usually tell when videos are fake, and I still love his videos today. The main problem is that his newer videos seem to be attempted to be up to date when we just want the old Skeppy. But then again, Skeppy's grown up over time, and his preferences have probably changed. He can decide what content he wants to put up but we still love Skeppy no matter what. He's a great guy and he can have great messages at times.

It's been a while, but it's also not rare for content creators to sign contracts with bigger companies in order to support themselves, which may explain Skeppy's style that has gotten more "franchised, " if you will. This may have happened, but Skeppy's a human regardless

I still think Skeppy is one of the key reasons why MCYT came back as a whole. He brought bad boy halo to fame and bbh would bring the others (like dream, and all them) and bring a lot of popularity. I hope Skeppy finds his own type of content that is genuine and makes him happy! I remember watching his videos when he had less than 100k views per video and that era was truly my favorite.. the new commercial/trolling bbh videos are definitely off!

“I want the old Skeppy back.” That’s the problem. Skeppy definitely changed in the last four years. In 2018, he was only 18 years old. A lot changes from 18 to 22. Also, his audience changed. What worked with his audience in 2018 might not work anymore because his demographic is different. I’m not saying the changes are good, I’m just saying that the “old Skeppy” probably isn’t coming back. Even if his demographic goes back to the same as it was in 2018, he’ll never be 18 again. He’ll never be the same person he was in 2018. Skeppy will never be the exact same person he was four years ago, and his content will always reflect that.

I dont think Bad and Skeppys friendship is scripted strictly because they addmitted to knowing one and other beforehand but just didn't know eachother very well.
If they wanted to fake it they would have said they didn't know eachother at all🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I honestly think his channel right now is pretty good, he still does trolls and events, he does some Roblox games, he posts on both channels (Skeppy and Skep, he hasn't posted that much on Skeppys Lab) and he seems to be having fun with his friends while still being entertaining. Some of his content may be scripted but I don’t believe majority of it is faked. Additionally, Badboyhalo is actually pretty well known to be naive and it's been talked about by other YouTubers that he's like that off camera. Plus he's one of the most genuine Mc YouTubers imo so I don't think he'd help in faking so many trolls where he gets angry and upset sometimes.

Thanks for mentioning me here! Just wanted to clarify a few things. I actually haven't edited a Skeppy video since December 2021 due to me taking a break while I attend college and whatnot. Anything uploaded on any affiliate Skeppy channel; (Skep... etc, ) since 2022 isn't edited by me, including the one video shown of George vs BBH, etc. With the exception of a few unreleased videos. I've been thinking about going back to the old 2018 editing for a long time and I plan on attempting that style when I return because I do agree, he grew his channel off of those crazy, random, explosive videos, as well as that type of editing style is so much more fun to work with. I love Zak, he's definitely one of the greatest bosses someone could have, and I want nothing but the best for him.

oh damn really? I used to adore the guy back in 2019... I met my best friends because of his content and honestly, his old videos were so hilarious I'd genuinely wheeze at them... haven't been in touch with the mcyt community in years (mostly because i was afraid of what it became) and just seeing this does break my heart. I have to admit on one thing, I can say the old skeppy in 2020 was a lot better than now, still I appreciate how far he has come and no one knows there could be one more final spike for skeppy!

I’m forever thankful to Skeppy considering he got me into mcyt in the first place. I still enjoy his content. That said, his newer videos feel just a bit more uninspired than his old stuff (not even necessarily from 2018 and stuff, even as recent as 2020 to mid-2021) and I can’t help but feel he’s kinda lost his spark. I do hope it’s temporary and he finds his way back to the content that you can feel he’s really excited in, and until then ill be somewhat satisfied with the new stuff, but there’s definitely been a shift in the way his content feels, and it’s not necessarily for the better.

The fact that badboyhalo would've definitely caught on to most of skeppy's trolls after so many of them is a very good point, it just seems unrealistic. We can't know if skeppy is doing this for his own good, or to entertain, or both, but I'll believe both.
Either way, this has happened with a lot of other youtubers. Sadly, youtubers just can't stay the same forever, or for long enough. We have to accept that. Thank you for showing us this video!

To be honest, I've been watching skeppy for years and yeah there's a difference in editing, but skeppy is still himself, which is why I watch him, because he is skeppy
