Corsa D Coolant And Expansion Bottle Replacement

In this video I replace the coolant and the expansion bottle as the original is stained and looks horrible. This process id the same for most vauxhall motors.

As I know the hisory of this car I only did the standard coolant change. If you want to do a more thorough flush of the system then you can remove the thermostat and the lowest radiator hose and use a garden hose to flush the old coolant out. You can also remove the heater matrix pipes and use the same process to flush the matrix.

If it isn't what you want to see then please let me know in the comments and likewise if it is something you want me to do more content on.

I hope you are enjoying the videos and I do really appreciate the feedback!

Another top video keep them coming on the Corsa!! I'll get them plastered on the forum. Tip for anyone doing this job, with the bleed crew it is better to use a long socket extension with a deep 10mm or 13mm socket on it, less chance of chewing up the cross marking compared to using a screw driver... Ask me how I know.

Hi Andy,
I have a vauxhall corsa 1.2 2008 and i notice that there is a small amount of oil getting into the coolant tank. What could be the cause of this? No overheating or anything car runs smoothly, thankyou :)

Hello bud, I need to replace the thermostat housing on my friends corsa, I assume I need to bleed the radiator, I understood the first few steps you done, but at what point do I need to open the bleed value and when do I close it?
Many thanks

I have replaced the expansion bottle yesterday and I kind of forced the other pipe our without removing the clip a lot and now I'm trying to put the 2nd pipe back in and it won't go. Do I need the tool you used or do I need to use Clic & Clic-R Type Hose Clamp Pliers Swivel Drive Car Water Pipe Removal Tool to remove the clip so I can reinstall the pipe. I'm so stupid that I should have removed the clip fully before forcing the pipe out. Used a piler and attempted it to put the underneath pipe back together which doesn't help woth a piller. I think I might have to hold the pipe, push the clip back enough, refit the pipe and then refit the clip in to secure it. Please let me know as soon as possible please.

i need to do this when my expansion bottle comes as my current one has a hole right at the bottom so all the coolant leaked out and continues to leak if u refill, its only ever had universal coolant and ive just recently bought it in september so havent done a coolant change yet, online it says red for my car or yellow but a few garages have said pink, what colour should i use?
