80 years after Bert Hinkler arrived in the UK after crossing the Atlantic, the project to restore the last Canadian built Puss Moth was completed and the aircraft was displayed at the Goodwood Revival in 2011 under the UK registration G-FAVC. It's a DH80A Puss Moth built in 1935 and powered by a de Havilland Gypsy Major 1C engine.

CF-AVC is now on display at the Reynolds-Alberta Museum in Canada's Aviation Hall of Fame having been de-registered in the UK in 2013.

Cracking little film - those were the days! Any relation Ben? BTW do you know Cliff Lovell, he restored a lot of DH aircraft, I spent a day at his hanger/airstrip (early 1980s) talking and breaking bread with India's first airline pilot - who's old DH was being restored by Cliff (having been suspended from the ceiling in an Indian airport - sorry I forget which). They guy was a lovely man, shared his lunch with me😊👍 Cliff's aircraft was in the film Out of Africa, as was my economics Professor - small world!😊👍😄 I think that Cliff might have had one of my father's old C150's (a B model) in pieces at one time as a subsequent owner wrote it off. The day of my chat with the airline pilot we flew into Cliff's tricky airstrip in that 150B, getting in was okay (one way in and out - up hill landing), but with fuel and two up it was 'fun' getting out😄😄👍😲👍
