Police Release New Details On Idaho Murder Investigations

Police are revealing more information into the homicide investigations of four Idaho college students, saying it's possible some of the victims were asleep during the attack. They also say they have ruled out several people who came in contact with the victims on the night they were killed. NBC’s Gadi Schwartz reports for TODAY.

So the roommates woke up around noon, found that BLOODY crime scene, since we know they were butchered, blood everywhere & someone calls 911 saying..saying someone is unconcious & thought they had PASSED OUT. Were they blind to all the blood in the house...this makes NO sense.

I'm amazed abd saddened that one of the victims moms actually thinks that the killer FEELS GUILT. That's the single MOST HEARTBREAKING part of her interview. The person or people who did this HAVE ZERO SAD...

As a mother I am terrified that I could send off my kids to better themselves and never seen them alive again. May the parents find closure, peace and acceptance is probably too much to ask for at this time. I know I would not be able to bare this pain. May god hold those students in his arms now. They must’ve been terrified or not even get a chance to realize what took place

Someone who can knife 4 people to death unprovoked and while they're sleeping is a psycho. Incapable of feeling guilt. People keep looking at boyfriends or neighbors. But I think it's a psycho. Probably long gone from Idaho.

The killer was already in the house. The two surviving roommates must’ve had friends over already before the other students got home. It is the only possible scenario. The other scenario is the two surviving roommates are the killers

the roommates called friends over because they thought one had passed out? Umm, that place has been described as a bloodbath inside. I highly doubt that call was not a call of panic and fear

Unfortunately the person who did this has no guilt and saying they do you're lying to yourself and unlikely the boyfriend had anything to do with it just because you don't like men don't mean every man is evil

This is sad. Imagine waking up to not only realize your roommates were murdered but under your nose while you slept. Eerie doesn't begin to describe it.
It seems personal. If so I can't imagine the list of suspects being too long.

I’d be checking that boyfriend for scratches, bruises, cuts, etc! The family is so in love with him and called their daughter “a brat” for wanting a break from him. Did they ever ask Kaylee why she wanted a break???? I’m not sorry.. I don’t trust the boyfriend, the two roommates or the group of friends they called over BEFORE calling 911! There were NO bloody footprints outside of the home.. hmmm? The screaming from the party the roommates assumed the victims were having are a far cry from the screams of terror these victims let out! No one can be trusted right now. Moscow PD is believing stories of everyone and letting them walk. This is over their heads. Tears and traumatized behavior could be caused by guilt.

The killer must have had some really deep resentment hatred towards these people to stab them multiple times very viciously! I don't believe it was a stranger I believe it was someone that was close to them that was familiar with the house and the people that we're living in the house? Seems kind of awkward that the other two roommates weren't even harmed in any kind of way? Both of those two roommates are hiding something? The cops should be leaning on them pretty hard! This wasn't burglary
Or armed robbery this was Revenge murder.

Killing a human with a knife is not easy. Physically or psychologically. The military trains special operators to do this. Most of those can’t or won’t do it in the pinch. There are a few hardened criminals capable of doing this, usually with gang or cartel connections. The very very rare psychopath.

In rare occasions an intended victim stabs an attacker to death.

That’s it. A very very small pool of people capable of killing not just one, but four people sequentially.

I doubt the cops will find anyone with opportunity and motive. But they might find someone with the knowledge, skills and ability. There are not many such.

Shooters are a dime a dozen. Hardened knife operators not at all.

I can understand the 2 other roommates not hearing anything. What is perplexing to me is who called 911 and reported an unconscious person? By all accounts it was an extremely bloody and gruesome scene. We even saw a picture of blood dripping from inside the house down the foundation. Unconscious???? How about bloody massacred?

The killer HAS to be someone they KNOW! I call it! SOMEONE they trust so a badly that they would rule out him/her being a suspect!

ALWAYS, ALWAYS lock your bedroom door knob. I cannot even get to sleep until I have made sure my bedroom door is locked. I have heard of too many of these scenarios where people are murdered in their sleep.
