Aaron is the reason that Hackett (the OC) was hired. Hackett still has a job, even though the offense is struggling, and Saleh was fired.

Clearly, Aaron has some influence on the decision making process.

Rodgers putting the M E in team, always.

Saleh is finally free. He should consider himself lucky. Teams like the jets, panthers, and browns are just garbage organizations as far as ownership and management.

Jets fans clung to the hope that a rapidly aging 40 year old quarterback coming off a season ending injury, and who hasn't played great in 3 years, would be their savior.

What could possibly go wrong ?

Zack Wilson being Saleh's QB not of his own choice was the downfall. Rodgers and Hackett were the coup de grâce. When you don't get to shop for groceries, you will get blamed and fired!

Exactly TJ, it is kinda crazy that Robert Salah delivered the defense but is the one fired. Very good point from Chris regarding WR's like Adams being able to adjust to throws that are off from Rodgers as he works his way back from injury. However, Rodgers is 40, he ain't the same Rodgers and they do have Allen Lazard.

Edit, I'm going edit and keep the credit going as Andrew was spot on with how he put it regarding Rodgers getting Saleh fired, Rodgers didn't but unintentionally did.

I would not be surprised if Rogers retires mid-season and blames it on a phantom injury

Hackett should give like 10% of all the money he makes to Aaron Rodgers because Rogers is basically that guy's agent. He would not have a job in the NFL if it wasn't for Aaron

Saleh was going to fire Hackett. Rodgers stepped in. Saleh said it was Hackett or him. Saleh was escorted out of the building. Period.

It’s bizarre how much attention this team gets given how bad they have been for decades

The common denominator has been the piss poor ownership of the team by Ambassador Johnson.

Another guy who was born on third and thinks he hit a triple.

As far as the Rodgers/Saleh battle. A Mafia rule: Usually, both problems need to go away.

Does anyone remember the day before Mike McCarthy got fired in GB?

GB was playing the worst team in the league, and Rodgers absolutely stunk… against the worst team in the league…. on his own birthday. And then McCarthy got fired.

Rodgers plays like trash in a game his owner felt they should have or at least not be embarrassed as so, and soon after coach gets fired.

How many people can be a scapegoat for this guys failures? Read that again.

There is a huge difference between guys not being able to catch your pass and guys being in the completely wrong part of the field to catch your pass...

Rodgers has a lot of individual awards, but other then one superbowl what has he ever really won. Green Bay was in the easiest division in the nfc.

Congrats to Robert Saleh for not having to work with Rodgers anymore. Saleh will be back and better than ever. Good riddance to Rodgers and good riddance to the Jets. Next man up, dead man walking? Jeff Ulbrich. Get your knee pads and chapstick.

The same situation is happening in Jacksonville. They are already asking how many coaches will be fired because of Trevor Lawrence.

I am sick of the brain dead idea that Salah did his job. Salah was the HEAD COACH... His JOB was to oversee the ENTIRE team. He failed in that. He failed to achieve results despite having enough talent to do so. He bungled the backup QB situation last year. He has had numerous issues when dealing with the media and so on. Good for him, his defence has performed, now go and do that job somewhere... The harsh truth is that while it sucks that he was dumped in broad daylight at red lobster, he still deserved to be dumped. Simple as that.
