I’ve been saying this from Day 1 and people called me dumb for being willing to give an outside agent a cut of my first contract. Don’t let your family members fool you into making them your career representatives, even if they’re in good faith. It’s usually a bad idea.

Agents let you take your emotions out of the equation. That’s worth the price alone

The top 4 guaranteed money QB's last year were Deshaun Watson, Kyler Murray, Russel Wilson and Aaron Rodgers. What do all 4 have in common? None of them made the playoffs..

Let professionals do their job. This dude is absolutely right. Lamar trying to outsmart the system will end up costing him millions

Lamar has chosen to satisfy his ego above satisfying his financial future.

I really dont understand why people get so mad at people in the media saying Lamar is hurting himself by not having a agent. There’s nothing wrong with pointing out that a 25 year old QB in the NFL doesn’t know everything about contracts and negotiations, nobody at that age does, thats why most all players have agents lol. Lamar would have 41 million dollars more in his bank account right now if two years ago he just told Baltimore to give him the exact same contract Josh Allen got. They would of gave it to him. And Josh is already only a couple seasons away from getting a 3rd contract while Lamar has made drastically less money despite being drafted the same year and has no second contract in sight. If he had an agent he would already have a contract with some team and be much richer and would have far more endorsement deals too. He’s just being prideful at this point and its costing him.

The time value of money; something he was not aware of 💯

I would give an agent 3 percent of 60 million, which is what lamar should have made over the last 2 years instead of 25 million. Very poor judgement. 3 percent of 60 mil is 1.8 mil. If Lamar sits out a year in protest he loses another 44 million for not signing a deal now. It is not the Ravens fault that he played for 1.75 mil in year 4. Now he is sitting at home waiting for a phone call while all the players with agents are frantically working at gobbling up all the available cap space. Agents are showing GM's other shiny objects and getting deals done.

Colts just signed Gardner Minshew as insurance and will draft a QB.

The problem with Lamar is that he had 2 great years and 2 bad years. Because it happened in this order Ravens won't pay him money he expects. He was out for about 50% of time last 2 seasons. So.... it is obvious.

There needs to be a salary cap for qbs, it’s getting ridiculous, no one is worth 350 million

😏 By paying Lamar Jackson his rookie deal, the Ravens had enough savings in 2021 and 2022 to help them sign big free agents (e.g. Zeitler, Bowser, Villanueva, James, Watkins, Houston, Williams, Moses, Pierce, Ricard, Campbell, Fuller, Pierre-Paul) and to help them extend key contracts (e.g. Mekari, Andrews, Edwards, Wolfe, Boyle, Tucker) and thus kept open their playoffs window. 🤷 How much will that window close if the Ravens pay Lamar a top five QB contract?

I get wanting to do your own deal if your are at any position other then QB. These 100-200 million dollar contracts are just to big for them to handle.

98% of $200 million is a lot better than 100% of nothing!!

Saw a great video pointing out the the NFLPA is working in the background as his agent.

Siciliano is always the first to hear of new developments. Probably the first to hear anything, really.

He definitely needs an agent. At the same time, that he's paying the consequences for a contract the Browns gave to Watson is unjust. The man should be signed already.

It's HIGHLY unlikely Lamar is going to get anywhere close to what he wants, primarily because no team that needs a QB is even remotely set up like Baltimore. Add that he has missed like 10-12 games due to injury and his play style, a GM would have to be an absolute idiot to give significant guaranteed money given the above points

Ravens need to stick to no 100% guaranteed. Just because Haslam's are stupid and desperate doesnt mean every other team should
