When I was young I aspired to own a bmw, they had a soul and a purpose to me and when I saw one I was in awe, when I rode in one I could feel how different it was to “normal” cars. At 19 I bought my first e34 540ia, later another but manual. I also had a 7 series and drove a lot of 3 series. Went tracking with m3 and loved all these cars! A majority of my friends aspired to the same but today, only one is still driving bmw.

Not only are they not reliable, the service at their stores are bad and overpriced, the car is soulless, does not look like a bmw in fact nothing BMW has released the past years have made me as a former bmw enthusiast interested.

So maybe that is not a problem, do the young aspire to own a bmw? No, at my kids school almost exclusively there’s only one car that both boys and girls want (if they care about cars) and that is a Tesla. The parents with teslas are the cool parents (when it comes to cars) and if you have a model X you’re the king.

Not sure where bmw is heading but going only by this, I think down the drain. R.i.p

terrible design. e46 m3 owner here. e39 owner here. you guys are lost and behind the curve. No idea who is signing off on your projects, but you should probably fire all of those people and reignite the passion that bmw once represented.

Like it - step to the right direction: reducing emissions to “0” and simplifying design and usability. This is Teslas way and now also yours - and thats OK
