This is the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra and it’s a huge upgrade over its predecessor — a phone we already loved.

The Razr 50 Ultra has a bigger, 4in 1080p cover screen, with slimmer bezels around its 6.9in, 165Hz Full HD+ internal display.

It has significantly improved cameras too, with a 50MP f/1.7 main and a 2x 50MP f/2 telephoto camera.

Plus - in a first for Motorola Razr phones - it’s also now water resistant. It has an IPX8 rating, meaning it can shrug off complete submersion rather than a simple splash of water — although only to 1.5m for 10 seconds.

Inside, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage to back that up.
And, of course, it is stuffed with AI features just like every other tech product this year. Google Gemini is enabled as standard, with a free 3-month subscription to Gemini Advanced and 2TB of cloud storage.

Adaptive AI video stabilisation adjusts the amount of stabilisation applied according to how much you are moving. And Motorola’s own AI system - Moto ai - promises to deliver some nifty features of its own, which are set to be introduced in the coming months — asking the phone to “pay attention” will start recording conversations, transcribing and summarising them when you’ve finished.

The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra launches on 26th June 2024 starting at £999 alongside the cheaper Razr 50 at £799.
