Marty Robbins formed the wood foundation forms for the stem wall & framed parts of my house in Phoenix. I found some of his time cards inside of a wall, and the original owner of the house confirmed that his father & Marty Robbins had worked on my house back in 1952. The man's father got all of the excess concrete from the development and poured it all around the original house and yard. I have a sidewalk all around the house, one around the yard, a nice big RV pad, a beautiful decorative low red brick wall with a nice thick & wide concrete cap on it all the way around the front porch, and a nice custom 1/2 size block wall with a decorative concret cap all around the back yard. The old patio is now an addition. That old guy made that patio slab well over 24 inches thick, so he could put the addition on it later and save money on the slab. I wish the whole house had a 24-30 inch thick monolithic poured slab. I'd have put a second story on it by now. I sunk 24 inch concrete drill bits all over the addition in an attempt to treat for termites. I never found the bottom of the slab. Even in the bathtub's drain box it's over 24 inches thick. All the permits, inspection tags and time cards were pinned up behind the medicine chest in the bathroom. Same with the addition, just a different bathroom. Late 1952-early 53, and 1957 for the addition.
