A great thing about Parks and Rec, there was never a "very special episode" Jerry's fart attack 😂 was as close as it got to serious.

The first, very short, season was not good. Season 2 they started to see the light. Seasons 3 through 7, one of the best, funniest runs of sitcom television in history. A lot of people think Ron Swanson was best but the entire cast was fantastic, every character pitch perfect, especially after Rob Lowe and Adam Scott came on board. It's hard to imagine any TV show nailing a final season any better than Parks & Rec.

Parks and Rec is one of those shows that starts great and then ran out of ideas and turned into a soap opera where it’s just the same old trite arch of many characters falling in love, getting married… boring.
