Natural gas has been widely used in power generation, commercial, industrial, and even transportation. In the transportation sector, natural gas has gained favor as it emits fewer air pollutants including nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, and carbon dioxide than traditional fuel. Further, the significant price differential between natural gas and oil since 2008, has created renewed interest in the market for natural gas in transport. The SNAM Practicum Team (Chih-Yang, Nate, Yuning, and Ziyue) will present 8 case studies across the world on the use of natural gas in marine, trucking, and railway.
