Big congrats again to Hachiroku24 for finally getting an Ideas set after quite a few attempts. Lego I think rendered the three main bugs amazingly well and I really like the built up display stands showcasing each. Lady bug unfortunately got the biggest down grade which is sad to see and the bee also underbuilt sized. Favorite out of the 3 is definitely the build for the mantis. Detail is on point and proportionately looks big enough to threaten a whole Lego City.

Can't believe that LEGO made a set of Justin's full moon form, the where-mantis community is now represented in LEGO.

I actually really like the changes, the display bases are really nice, love ideas sets like this that are small and easy to display and don't cost crazy amounts

I think the reason they downscaled the Bee and Ladybugs is to make all 5 accurately sized to each other. I looked it up, and they're all pretty close to 1-1 to each other.

I love the designs for this set. I hate insects mostly, but the butterfly and mantis look incredible. The mantis has always been iconic for me, not only as a long-time viewer of your channel, but also because of its ties to the Hero Factory character, Breez. It’s in lime green too! Also, the landscaping is rather lovely, even if it bumps up the piece count a bit. It’s very pikmin-esque. Seeing this, I really want LEGO Pikmin now…

We may be getting the plants but i'm also sad that we'll be getting the downsized bee and that we'll losing the full ladybug
EDIT: But that could also mean that the ladybug will be for the Insiders or be in a future cteator set so they deleted it to avoid repeats

Ok, they downsized the bee and the ladybug. But they are still represented in the set. What I think is more impressive is that this is a massive upgrade. Hachroku24 didn't have any kind off display stands in the original design. And the bugs were kind of simplistic. This is what an Ideas set should be. Not a one-to-one release of what we voted on, but an improvement in nearly every way.

Really, I think Hachiroku24 did this the right way from the start. He didn't try to make an overly detailed set. He just built representations of his idea. Then he let Lego take that idea and make it better. And sure, if you specifically wanted the ladybug that might be disappointing. But I think Lego took this one up several notches from the original submission.
