Why Ignoring Peak Design's Travel Tripod was a HUGE Mistake!

Sometimes it's difficult to differentiate gear you want from gear you need...especially if you are gear-heads like us at MBM! The Peak Design Travel Tripod is something we've resisted purchasing since it came out a few years ago. It's not cheap, and we weren't certain it would actually benefit our workflow. That is, until we found ourselves pressed for space while travelling for a client shoot.

Peak Design never disappoints! Doing more & more shoots on-site and having the Peak Design Travel Tripod in our arsenal for the past couple of months, we now see the value in such an over-designed and beautifully functional tripod. In this video, we will outline all of its features, benefits and drawbacks!

I’m amateur photography and love this tripod. You don’t have multiple knobs that make it more chunky and quicker to adjust your camera. Just wish they made the bag a little bigger.

the tripod not being arca swiss compatible makes it an instant no for me, and that probably applies to a lot of landscape/travel photographers
