Shure MV88 Mic Review & Audio Test (Is it worth buying in 2022?)

Recently I saw someone getting rid of his Shure MV88 mic for IOS at an amazing price (more than 60% off retaiI) had to reach out to him immediately.

He had it for a couple of years and wasn't really using it any longer. One hour later. It was MINE. :)

This video is my first impression of the Shure MV88, my review as well as an audio test.

To be completely honest, I was planning to take my time and do a full research before purchasing, however, the price for the Shure MV88 was too good of a price to let it slide.

does it record the new audio with the mic to a video you shoot in real time, or do you have to replace the original audio of the iPhone's mic with the new audio you recorded later in post production ?

Ive been using this mic for 3 years and it’s hands brown the best in the market currently. The MV88+ is actually a little better quality sound. It’s essentially the same mic but 3 years later tech. You will like this mic a lot. Best of luck

The Mv88 comes with a little headphone monitor adapter cable but I can’t figure out why it’s included? Does it plug into the mic or what is it for?

Record a band with your phone. Then with the mic see how well it works.

I just picked this up for €20 at a flea market. The guy selling it had a lot of tech and audio stuff he was getting rid of for cheeaaaap since he was apparently getting them as samples. I thought it was gonna be some mid tier mic, but it’s actually really good. Now I don’t need to go out and buy a Tascam…yet.

Alguém ainda usa esse microfone? Eu tenho um, mas agora uso o iPhone 15 Pro. Como ele tem USB-C, não consigo mais conectar o microfone. Entrei em contato com a Shure, e eles recomendaram um adaptador original da Apple. Só que o fio fica solto, não conecta direto no telefone. Fica um cabo entre o celular e o microfone. Alguém encontrou uma alternativa melhor? Aqueles adaptadores pequenos não funcionam.
